Where it All Started - Hydrangea Wedding Invitations

As some of you may know, Sign it With Love is a side hobby of mine, not the work I do full time. My 'real' job is a Marketing Consultant in Chicago. It is sort of funny because Sign it With Love just sort of became something overnight. It wasn't really planned, it wasn't something I had dreamed about for years. It just happened.

It all started when Jenny was planning her wedding actually. I had helped plan her bridal shower and created all the paper goods. It was fun, I received some great feedback. But in my mind that was it. Well, then came the planning of the 'all things paper' for Jenny's actual wedding and guess who got the gig! To me, that was the moment Sign it With Love slowly started to become where it is today, I just didn't know it yet. While I had done a few other invitations before the June 2010 Malic Wedding, I consider this the actual first piece of work.

Ok, so on with the real reason you are here, the goods, the paper:

Color Scheme: Lilac & Mid-Night Blue

Wedding Invitations: We finished with square invites, but with a more traditional feel since they were not part of a pocket envelope or sleeve.

The rest of 'All Things Paper': For the placecards, menus and table numbers we kept with the same simple hydrangea, but switched to lilac colored paper rather than the white. This would allow the items to pop against the white table linens.

For the placecards we used the simple tent technique. And since table placement can change many times during planning, we printed with blank table numbers. Jenny & Louis merely printed them in blue pen once everything was considered final.

Each guest had a menu placed into a folded napkin

Each table number was placed in a photo frame

So what do you think?
Even after almost a year, I still am very much in love with that simple hydrangea.
